JOB DESCRIPTION:
- We have a Controls Engineer position open in Orlando, FL.
- This position is responsible for controls engineering project requirements involving control system design, DCS/PLC programming, control panel design, instrumentation, check-out support, and start-up assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be organized, technically competent, have effective oral and written communications, and experience in working in a multi-disciplined environment and interfacing with engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Designs, develops, and implements DCS/PLC control system (logic software and hardware) to meet process requirements. As well as complying with any local or government agency design/implementation codes.
- Knowledge of control panel and system design standards and code practices for any local or government agencies
- Develops documents detailing control configuration and design. Documents include Theory/Description of operation, Detailed control system design description, system implementation/acceptance test plans.
- Able to interface with facility design to optimize panel location minimizing voltage drop and optimizing panel maintenance.
- Able to perform the following system design calculations/analysis: Short circuit protection, harmonics, noise reduction/cancellation, power consumption, load flow, short circuit protection, protective relay/circuit design, ground fault monitoring, safety system implementation (SIL rating)
- Knowledge of analyzing system design for Hazard analysis development and mitigation
- Ability to implement control system redundancy to minimize single points of failure.
- Develops schematics of control system configuration, wiring, network layout, and equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD
- Will assist with the initial start-up and debugging of integrated systems and the development of system documentation.
- Individual will be working on automation and control system integration projects for clients in industries such as entertainment and manufacturing.
- Will act as technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Will act as Project Manager on smaller projects ranging from $50k to $250k. This includes but is not limited to:
- Develops and executes implementation plans for the project.
- Assigns work to meet overall project deadlines.
- Ensures that all project team members clearly understand the scope of W-M responsibilities.
- Develops schedules for W-M and customer requirements.
- Evaluates progress on project(s) and details changes.
- Responsible for all purchasing and subcontractor requirements
- Responsible for the development of costs and proposal of change orders to contract scope.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. (Directly related experience may be substituted for degree)
- 5+ years in the following areas is preferred: Ethernet-based control systems, safety systems, instrumentation, components, logic programming, and DCS programming (i.e., DeltaV, Experion, 800xA.)
- Experience with instrumentation and controls/PLC system design (i.e., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens) required.
- Experience with AutoCAD is also desired.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Handle incoming feature requests and bug reports, coordinating with development and product teams to develop requested new features and bug fixes.
- Work with Eos.ii development team to build identified features and capabilities and roll them out to existing and future cloud deployments.
- Support internal DevOps efforts to develop additional detection capabilities, as well as reduce costs and response times via platform capabilities.
- Support regional deployments of Eos.ii from a product and execution perspective as a second-tier expert resource.
- In conjunction with the development team, build and maintain supporting documentation for the product.
What You Bring
You’re a confident software developer or network engineer with experience writing SIEM detection rules from scratch, improving SOC workflows, deploying and managing cloud computing workloads, and installing network monitoring tools. Those skills will help you collaborate with a team of developers, technical writers, and product managers to build on the world’s only OT-focused SIEM product.
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent certification. 5+ years of experience in SOC/SIEM/MDR.
- Demonstrated ability to write detection rules and data parsers for major SIEM tools such as ELK.
- Practical experience in Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) is very beneficial.
- Strong technical writing skills are a must.
- Proficient knowledge of networking and VPN concepts (CCIE level equivalent or greater, or equivalent practical experience). Experience engineering VPN connections to public cloud providers preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Windows Server operating environments (equivalent to MCSE or greater) and Linux (Redhat/CentOS/Rocky distributions) operating environments is preferred.
- Experience developing and deploying cloud-native and container-based applications (e.g., AWS, Docker, ELK, etc.).preferred.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., McAfee ESM, QRadar, ArcSight, etc.) preferred.
- Salary range could start between $140-180k, depending on experience level and other factors. Position is bonus-eligible, on top of base pay.

This supervisor will work closely with BMS Controls Technical Expert, Control Architecture / System, BMS Hardware, and HIL (Hardware-in-loop) testing to ensure quality and timely delivery of the BMS software over multiple electrified vehicle programs.

BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering.
Minimum 3 years of team leading experience.
Minimum of 7 years of BMS software development experience in automotive – familiar with all aspects of software specification, development, and validation.
Working knowledge of power electronic hardware and controls.
Familiar with different SW standards and processes, includes but not limited to AutoSAR, ISO26262, ASIL-C, ASPICE.
Team player with capability working with cross functional organization.
Strong oral and written communications skills, with ability to present to higher levels of management.

What You Drive at DTNA:
- Participate in a team for planning and leading complex systems and projects which includes: researching vendors, creating technical specifications, requesting quotations, selecting vendors, creating timelines, issuing purchase requisitions (coordinate with Purchasing), scheduling installations and tryouts, qualifying and approving equipment/tooling for projects, and etc.
